ROVR (i.e., the operator of the ROVR data platform, in this privacy policy referring to Haydon-Poincare Spatial Computing Limited, registered at Flat/rm 1605, Ho King Commercial Centre, 2-16 FA YUEN Street, Mongkok, Kowloon, Hong Kong under number 76535302, hereinafter also referred to as "we", “us” or “our”) attach great importance to your privacy and the protection of your personal information. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information through our services.
We have summarized the key points of this privacy policy below for your quick review, but please be sure to read this policy carefully and thoroughly.
- Privacy protection is our top priority. Our mission is to build an online data platform for subsequent data applications such as HD maps, autonomous driving navigation services, virtual land exchanges, spatial AI training, etc. Respecting and protecting user privacy is a key component of this mission.
- We do not sell your personal information. We generate revenue through hardware sales and paid products, and we do not sell your personal information to third parties for profit.
- We only collect necessary information. You only need to provide the information necessary for account creation, service provision and maintenance, user commitment, and compliance with legal requirements. Providing other information is not mandatory, and you can choose whether to provide it.
- Security is our top priority. We have a dedicated Support team that works tirelessly to protect community safety. We will also continuously enhance security measures to prevent losses caused by illegal intrusions into the community and servers.
- Privacy control is in your hands. At ROVR, your privacy control is in your own hands.

1. What Personal Data do we collect?
We will comply with European Regulation 2016/679 (the 'General Data Protection Regulation' or 'GDPR') and other national or regional data protection laws and regulations. We will follow the principles of legality, legitimacy, and necessity to collect and use your personal information. Meanwhile, we commit to taking appropriate security protection measures according to industry-standard security protocols and the legal requirements of the user's jurisdiction to protect your personal information.
This Privacy Policy covers our use of any information that can or could be used to identify you (“Personal Data”). It does not cover information which cannot be used to identify you (“Anonymous Data”). The personal data we collect via our website, our App and devices is includes:
- Identity and contact data, This is generally information including the contents of your shopping cart, your name, email address, phone number, shipping address, billing address, delivery preferences and payment details (e.g. credit/debit card/PayPal).
Please be aware and agree that during your use of the products and/or services, the contact information you provide (e.g., email) may be used by us to send various types of notifications for purposes such as user information notification, identity verification, and security verification. Additionally, we may also use SMS or phone calls to provide you with commercial information about services, features, or activities that may interest you. If you do not wish to receive this information, you can unsubscribe through the method provided in the SMS or contact us directly to unsubscribe.
- Credentials, such as your phone number, or email address and authentication token provided by Google Sign-in, Apple ID, Android ID or Discord Sign-in, depending on which external accounts you choose to use and depending on your privacy settings with those.
- Demographic Data, such as your country of residency and age.
- Device and Usage Data, Including device attribute information (hardware model, advertising identifier IDFA, anonymous device identifier OAID, Android ID), device parameters and system information (operating system version and system status, device configuration), device connection information (browser type, language used, WIFI information, SSID, BSSID), log information and other information related to the login environment.
We will only access your terminal's installed application list and upload the package name information of uncommon apps when user behavior triggers risk control conditions (frequent incorrect password entries, frequent logins from different locations, frequent IP switching, risky IPs, risky devices, risky accounts, abnormal operations). We will not upload information about your common apps, nor will we upload other information such as app installation times.
- Location Data, Including precise location information obtained through GNSS information, WLAN access points, Bluetooth, base stations, and other sensor information (linear acceleration, rotation vector, acceleration, pressure, gravity, direction, geomagnetic, gyroscope, motion), as well as rough geographic location information obtained through IP addresses or other network information.
When you use the functions above, we will request authorization for precise geographic location permissions. You can refuse to authorize precise geographic location permissions, or at any time, by canceling the system authorization for ROVR to access your precise location information, stop us from collecting your precise geographic location information. Afterward, you may not be able to use the basic functional services provided based on precise location information, or the basic functional services provided based on precise location information may not achieve the intended effect.
- Image/Video Data, when you share blurred image/video data with us through the ROVR App. This includes the blurred image/video file, Driving trajectory and mileage, regional information where image data is collected and the precise location data.
- Device Permission Invocation
During the service provision, in order to ensure that you can use the product functions normally, we will request the following system device permissions from your device. Prior to applying, we will seek your consent, and you can choose to "allow" or "deny" the permission request. Upon your authorization, we will enable the relevant permissions, and you can cancel the authorization at any time within the system. Canceling the authorization will result in the inability to use the related functions but will not affect your normal use of other functions within ROVR that do not rely on the permission. - Anonymization of personal information, without publicly disclosing or providing your personal information externally, ROVR has the right to mine, analyze, and utilize the anonymized user database (including commercial use), and has the right to compile statistics on product/service usage and share the anonymized statistical information with the public/third parties.
- Other data requiring your consent, when we need to use the information for purposes not stated in this privacy policy, we will seek your consent in advance. When we need to use the information collected for a specific purpose for other purposes, we will seek your consent in advance.
We do not collect special categories of personal data through the App, such as details about your race or ethnicity, religious or philosophical beliefs, sex life, sexual orientation, political opinions, trade union membership, or health information). We also do not collect information about criminal convictions and offences.
2. How We Collect Your Personal Data?
We use different methods to collect your information, including through:
- Direct interactions with you when you provide it to us, for example, by filling in forms or corresponding with us by phone, email, or otherwise.
- User contributions. You may also provide information for us to publish or display on public sites areas or transmit to other users or third parties.
- Automated technologies or interactions, as you navigate through our sites or using our App. Information collected automatically may include usage details, IP addresses, and information collected through cookies, web beacons, and other tracking technologies.
Information You Provide to Us
The information we collect directly from you on or through our Services may include:
- Information that you provide by filling in forms on the Services. This includes information and material provided, posted, or uploaded at the time of registering to use the Services, subscribing to our service offerings, or requesting further services. We may also ask you for information when you report a problem with our Services
- Records and copies of your correspondence (including email addresses), if you contact us.
- Your responses to surveys that we might ask you to complete for research purposes.
- Details of transactions you carry out through the Services and of the fulfillment of your orders. You may be required to provide financial information before transacting on the Services.
- Your search queries on our sites.

As you navigate through and interact with our sites or App, we may use cookies or other automatic data collection technologies to collect certain information about your equipment, browsing actions, and patterns, including:

- Store information about your preferences, allowing us to customize the Services according to your individual interests.
- Speed up your searches.
- Recognize you when you return to our sites.
The technologies we use for this automatic data collection may include:
- Cookies (or browser cookies). A cookie is a small file placed on the hard drive of your computer. You may refuse to accept browser cookies by activating the appropriate setting on your browser. We do not collect personal information automatically, but we may tie non-personal information collected automatically to personal information about you that we collect from other sources or that you provide.
3. How We Use Cookies and Similar Technologies
- Cookie and Anonymous Identifier Tools, Cookies are a mechanism that supports the storage and retrieval of information on the client side by the server side (or scripts). When you use ROVR's products or services, we will send one or more cookies or anonymous identifiers to your device. When you interact with ROVR, we allow cookies or anonymous identifiers to be sent to ROVR servers. Cookies typically contain identifiers, site names, and some numbers and characters. With cookie technology, ROVR can understand your usage habits, remember your preferences, save you from entering repetitive information, and help you determine the security of your account. Cookies can also help us collect traffic information and analyze the effectiveness of page design and advertisements.
- We do not use cookies for any purposes other than those described in this policy. You can manage or delete cookies according to your own preferences. For details, please refer to AboutCookies.org. You can clear all cookies saved on your computer, and most web browsers have the functionality to block cookies. However, if you do so, you will need to manually change user settings every time you visit our website, and you may be unable to log in or use ROVR services or functions that rely on cookies due to these changes.
- You can:
- On iOS: Clear your cookies and limit ROVR's use of cookies by going to "My" - "Settings" - "Delete Cache Data".
- On Android: Clear your cookies and limit ROVR's use of cookies by going to "My" - "Settings" - "Privacy Settings" - "System Privacy Permissions" - "Storage".
4. How and Why we process your Personal Data?
- In order to create your account, we process your Credentials, as it is necessary to enter into or perform a contract with you.
- To ensure the operation of our App, we process your Device and Usage Data as well as your Identity and Contact Data (Internal ID), as it is necessary to perform a contract with you.
- To provide technical and customer support to you, we process your Identity and Contact Data, Credentials, Demographic Data and Device and Usage Data, as it is necessary to perform a contract with you.
- For the purpose of maintaining our relationship with you by providing important updates, such as update of our Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy, information about the product and development roadmap, we process your Personal Data such as your name, email address or phone number and information about your Mobile Device, as it is necessary to perform a contract with you and for compliance with legal obligations.
- We may also process your Personal Data to make legal or regulatory disclosures and to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
- In addition, we have and rely on a legitimate interest in using your Personal Data for certain processing (the processing of the following is based on a legitimate interest of ROVR, according to art. 6.1.f GDPR). In particular:
- We are processing your Personal Data, such as website or in-App actions and achievements, as well as certain information about your mobile device (including device identifiers, device OS, model, configuration, settings and information about third-party applications or software installed on your device), to our legitimate interest (according to art. 6.1.f GDPR) to carry out anti-fraud and anti-cheating measures against behaviors prohibited under our Terms and Serves.
- For the purpose of User Analytics, we are processing your personal data such as your IP address, browser type, operating system, the section of the App which you browsed or the features you used, and the time spent on those sections or features, the links on our App that you click on, device and advertising identifiers, age, as well as actions you take while using the App, your user settings and preferences and your in-app purchases to our legitimate interest (according to art. 6.1.f GDPR) learn about our users, and understand who is using our App and how.
- We rely on our legitimate interest to improve the features that we offer you through the App, or to provide you with new or additional features for our App by processing your Demographic, Device and Usage Data and Credentials.
- We are processing your Personal Data, such as Identity and Contact Data, Demographic Data, Credentials, Device and Usage Data to inform you about new features, improvements, and updates in our App. This processing is based on our legitimate interest of ensuring our users are kept informed and can benefit from the latest advancements in our App.
- We will only use your Personal Data for carrying out certain processing if we have your consent (in other words, processing of the following is based on the data subject’s consent, according to art. 6.1.a GDPR). Those are:
- Send you marketing materials by email or via in-app notifications. You can unsubscribe from these at any time in your device settings or in-app settings.
- Send you our newsletter. For this purpose, we are processing your Identity and Contact Data, Demographic Data, Credentials, Device and Usage Data. You can sign up to receive our newsletter.
Our newsletter is published regularly and contains information and news about us.
After you have selected registration method (Google, Apple, Discord, Email) you will be asked if you want to subscribe to our Newsletter. You need to select the Newsletter checkbox to sign up to the newsletter. After you subscribe to our Newsletter, you will receive a confirmation e-mail from us.
This entire process is documented and stored. This includes the storage of the registration and confirmation time as well as your IP address and your privacy choices. The collection of this data is necessary so that we can trace the processes in the event of misuse of the e-mail address and therefore serves our legal protection. By subscribing to our newsletter, you agree to receive it.
You can withdraw your consent to the storage and use of your personal data to receive the newsletter and the statistical survey described above at any time with effect for the future. To withdraw your consent, you can use the link provided for this purpose in the newsletter or unsubscribe in our App.
Your data will be deleted as soon as it is no longer required to achieve the purpose for which it was collected. Accordingly, your e-mail address will be stored as long as the subscription to the newsletter is active for this purpose.
You can ask for an explanation of the legal basis of each processing at any time.
5. Data Processing Modalities and Security
The processing of Personal Data will take place through automated and/or manual tools in order to ensure proper security measures to prevent access, disclosure, loss, incorrect, illegal or unauthorized use of data.
The security of your personal information is very important to us. We maintain appropriate physical, organizational, and technological safeguards against unauthorized access, unauthorized disclosure, theft, or misuse appropriate to the sensitivity of such Personal Information.
The safety and security of your information also depends on you. Where we have given you (or where you have chosen) a password for access to our website or App, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. We ask you not to share your password with anyone.
Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the Internet is not completely secure. 6. Data Processing Locations
We are headquartered in Hong Kong and may use service providers that operate in other countries outside the country in which you reside. Therefore, your personal information may be transferred to countries which may not provide for the same level of data protection as guaranteed under the applicable data protection laws of the country in which you reside. We ensures that when using cloud providers established outside the EEA, the processing of personal data by these recipients is carried out in accordance with applicable law. Transfers shall be carried out by means of appropriate safeguards, such as adequacy decisions, standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission or other safeguards provided for in the GDPR.
We may transfer personal information that we collector that you provide as described in this Policy to contractors, service providers, and other third parties we use to support our business and who are contractually obligated to keep personal information confidential, use it only for the purposes for which we disclose it to them, and to process the personal information with the same standards set out in this Policy.
By submitting your personal information or accessing our website or App, you consent to this transfer, storage, or processing.
7. Data Retention
Except as otherwise permitted or required by applicable law or regulation, we will only retain your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes we collected it for, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements.
8. Children Under The Age Of 18
The services are not intended for children under 18 years of age. No one under age 18 may provide any information to us directly or through our website or App, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you are under 18, you may not use our App. If we learn we have collected or received personal information from a child under 18 without verification of parental consent, we will delete that information. 9. Accessing And Correcting Your Personal Information
It is important that the personal information we hold about you is accurate and current. Please keep us informed if your personal information changes. You have the right to request access to and to correct the personal information that we hold about you (see below for more information).
You can review and change certain of your personal information by logging into your account associated with our website or App and visiting your account profile page.
We may request specific information from you to help us confirm your identity and your right to access, and to provide you with the personal information that we hold about you or make your requested changes. Applicable law may allow or require us to refuse to provide you with access to some or all of the personal information that we hold about you, or we may have destroyed, erased, or made your personal information anonymous in accordance with our record retention obligations and practices. If we cannot provide you with access to your personal information, we will inform you of the reasons why, subject to any legal or regulatory restrictions.
We will provide access to your personal information, subject to exceptions set out in applicable privacy legislation. Examples of such exceptions include:

10. Withdrawing Your Consent
Where you have provided your consent to the collection, use, and transfer of your personal information, you may have the legal right to withdraw your consent under certain circumstances. To with draw your consent, if applicable, contact us at support@rovr.network. Please note that if you withdraw your consent we may not be able to provide you with a particular product or service. We will explain the impact to you at the time to help you with your decision.
11. Data Subject’s Rights
The User may exercise all the rights provided for by Articles 15-21 of GDPR, at any time and without unjustified limitations, by contacting ROVR at support@rovr.network. Requests shall be filed free of charge and processed by ROVR within 30 days.
Specifically, the User can:
- Obtain from us confirmation as to whether or not personal data are being processed (Art.15);
- Obtain from us the rectification of inaccurate personal data (Art. 16);
- Obtain from us the erasure of personal data (Art. 17);
- Obtain from us restriction of processing (Art. 18);
- Have the right to receive the personal data in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format and have the right to transmit those data to another controller (Art. 20);
- Have the right to object (Art. 21);
- With regard to the purposes of processing based on consent, withdraw it at any time.
State consumer privacy laws may provide their residents with additional rights regarding our use of their personal information. Regardless of your state of residence, you have the following rights:
- Right to know – you can request confirmation about whether or not we have collected your personal information and information about the categories of information we have collected. Spexi does not collect any sensitive personal information for any purpose.
- Right to access – you may request a copy of certain personal information we have collected about you.
- Right to delete – you can ask us to delete certain personal information we maintain about you.
- Right to correct – you may ask that we correct inaccurate personal information about you.
To exercise any of these rights please contact support@rovr.network. We reserve the right to confirm your identity before taking any of the requested actions.
12. Changes To Our Privacy Policy
We reserve the right to amend and update the Privacy Policy as a result of any further new or revised provisions of any national and/or EU laws and regulations on personal data protection. If we make material changes to this Policy, we will notify you by updating the date of this Policy and posting it on our website or App. If required by law we will also provide notification of changes in another way that we believe is reasonably likely to reach you, such as via email or another manner. Any modifications to this Policy will be effective upon our posting the modified version (or as otherwise indicated at the time of posting).Your continued access to or use of the Services after any such amendment constitutes your acceptance of the Policy as then amended.
13. Complaints
In any case, Users are always entitled to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority, under Art. 77 of the Regulation, if they believe that the ROVR’s processing of their Personal Data is in violation of the applicable law.
